Mark Garwood Foundation Phoenix Scholarships are awarded to individuals in south Florida who are in recovery, committed to long-term sobriety, are ready to begin or continue their education and have a financial need.
Each scholarship is worth up to $5000 and may be used to help pay for tuition, books and other school-related expenses that grants and other aid may not cover.

Phoenix Scholarship applications are accepted each year, July 15-September 15.

You must live in St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, Palm Beach or Broward County.

If not already enrolled, you must apply to an approved institution within 60 days of scholarship award.

You may attend any accredited college, university or trade school in Florida or online.

You must meet all requirements and agree to all conditions of a scholarship award.

Applicants emailed
their status within 2 weeks of the application deadline.
Selected as a semifinalist.
Not selected as a semifinalist. Please apply again next year.
Semifinalists are interviewed approximately
2 weeks after notification of selection.
Finalists are notified via email approximately one week after interviews.
